Westlake Village

Welcome to Westlake Village

This impressive suburban dream is centrally located to experience the best of nearby attractions, amenities, and open space.

Tucked snugly between Agoura and Thousand Oaks, the small, master-planned community of Westlake Village is composed primarily of residential neighborhoods. A few central commercial hubs separate any potential busyness from day-to-day living, while still proving to be lovely resources for meeting all of life’s necessities.

The development of Westlake Village began in 1966, pioneered by the American Hawaiian Steamship Company, and designed from its inception to be a shining star of luxury and comfortable living. Aiming to be inclusive to a plenitude of potential residents, Westlake Village was created to maintain an array of housing styles, including elegant condominiums, posh apartments, townhomes, single-family homes, and large estates.

Desirable neighborhoods abound in Westlake Village, from the waterfront properties on Westlake Lake to the majestic, multimillion-dollar estates up north in the hills, where the town overlaps with the famed properties of the gated North Ranch community. Some of the most inspiring homes in Conejo Valley can be found in Westlake Village, where the variety of architecture is on par with the lavish tastes of residents.

Local Lifestyle

Community is the predominant focus of life in Westlake Village. The year revolves around an engaging social calendar of neighborhood events and special celebrations, and friendly faces gather frequently in all seasons. Whether they’re hiking in the area’s many parks or meeting up for coffee at hip cafes, the residents of Westlake Village are always on the go.

Dining, Entertainment, & Shopping

Westlake Village is bisected by Ventura Highway, and most of its commercial sectors are located in the area surrounding the highway. Among these, The Promenade is highly favored among locals for its posh sophistication and airy outdoor shopping. After browsing boutiques and national names like Nike and lululemon, visitors can grab a bite to eat at one of the many stellar restaurants or catch a movie at the lavish Cinépolis Luxury Cinema.

Westlake Village is additionally a low-key foodie haven, and stand-out restaurants include those such as The Landing Grill and Sushi Bar, situated on Westlake Lake. Tempting sushi, sashimi, and classic American dishes all grace the menu at The Landing, as does a bevy of craft beers, creative cocktails, and sake.

Those looking for a dining experience with a little more whimsy will love the communal table and eclectic fare of Pearl District Restaurant, located at The Promenade. Both The Stonehaus and Mediterraneo are situated inside the charming Westlake Village Inn, with the former pulling inspiration from rustic European restaurants to create a romantic, intimate venue. A fabulous bar and modern dining room are just the start at The Grill on The Alley, where hearty American fare is elevated to gourmet status.

Things to Do

As a town centered on enriching the lives of its residents, it’s no wonder that the city calendar of Westlake Village is packed year-round with exciting local events. During the Fourth of July, both the Westlake Village Inn and the town’s “First Neighborhood,” community throw celebratory affairs for the holiday. Combined, the town has fireworks at the inn, a lively parade, and a patriotic festival.

For casual, weekly gatherings, the Westlake Village Farmers Market is the place to be. Held every Sunday from 10 AM to 2 PM, the farmers market promises a trove of local produce and goods as well as plenty of social connections.
